Letter: Expect more from companies on recycling

Per the Daily Herald article of June 30 about failing the process of recycling plastics: Rather than trying to educate millions of people on how and what to recycle, wouldn't it make more sense and achieve better results for the waste companies to implement more comprehensive procedures on their side? It's obvious some residents either don't care or don't want to put forth the effort to recycle. Heck, some people don't even know how to put their trash into their cans, let alone recycle.
