Authorities ID Bartlett woman who was killed in crash near Marengo

The Winnebago County coroner's office on Tuesday identified Bartlett resident Roxanne Wieczorek, 55, as the person killed Sunday in a rollover crash near Marengo.

Wieczorek was a passenger in a 2014 Ford F-150 traveling east on West Coral Road that collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado that ran a stop sign on northbound Maple Street, the McHenry County sheriff's office said. The Ford rolled over in an adjacent field after the collision.

Wieczorek was flown to Javon Bae Mercy Hospital in Rockford, where she died, the sheriff's office said.

A 67-year-old Hampshire woman who was driving the F-150 and a 51-year-old North Carolina woman who was driving the Silverado both were taken to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

The McHenry County sheriff's office continues to investigate the crash.
