Downers Grove Addiction Treatment Center hosts open house May 19

To continue helping those battling addiction in DuPage County, Gateway Foundation will host an open house at its outpatient facility on Thursday, May 19.

It will be held at 1 p.m. at the facility, 3040 Finley Road, Suite 220 in Downers Grove.

Gateway Foundation, Illinois' largest nonprofit addiction treatment provider, opened its Downers Grove facility in March 2021 amid a pandemic to address a growing need for addiction treatment in DuPage County.

According to findings released by DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen, the opioid epidemic - as well as the use of illegal and legal drugs - continues to spur overdoses and deaths in the county.

"People struggling with addiction need to know that recovery is possible and that help is available. Gateway Foundation offers DuPage County residents a safe, easy-to-access center with a strong recovery network," says Marc Turner, Gateway Foundation CEO and president.

The Downers Grove facility is Gateway's 16th location in its 50+-year Illinois history. Downers Grove's outpatient treatment is open to men and women (over age 18) and offers a combination of in-person and virtual therapies.

Gateway Foundation is the country's largest nonprofit treatment provider for adults specializing in substance use disorder treatment with co-occurring mental health disorders.

For over 50 years, Gateway Foundation's professional clinicians helped one million families recover from substance use disorders by developing personalized plans to treat the underlying causes of their addiction. Visit www.gatewayfoundation.org.
