Working Remotely Can Be a Dirty Business

Chicago resident Hannah Lieb works remotely from home for Exit 11 Coffee in Washington, Missouri. In addition to leading the marketing team, Hannah provides graphic design and PR services to the family owned specialty coffee business that opened its 5th location in the St. Louis Metro Area this month.

Hannah travels to Missouri at least once a month to meet with co-workers face to face and to participate in special events. On May 1, 2022 she was part of the Exit 11 @Toughmudder team that plowed through the 5K course on the grounds of Cedar Lake Cellars in Wright City, MO. In this fun, teambuilding exercise, the group forged creeks, carried sandbags, climbed through trenches, swam through ice water, ran through electric shock strings, climbed a massive rope mountain, ran through mud, played in mud, fell in mud, slipped through mud, laughed hard and worked hard to finish together!

It was a chance for remote workers, home office staff and drive-thru coffee house baristas to get to know each other better and strengthen friendships.
