Pilot hurt after small plane crashes at Indiana airport

FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) - A man has been injured after the small plane he was piloting crashed at a private airport south of Indianapolis.

The single-engine plane crashed Monday afternoon at Franklin Flying Field near Franklin.

Johnson County Sheriff Duane E. Burgess told WISH-TV that firefighters helped free the pilot from the plane.

He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Indianapolis.
