Learn about native plants for your landscape

Prairie, woodland and wetland plants are the topic Feb. 1, at the Wild Ones Lake-to-Prairie Chapter meeting being held at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.

Landscape designer and environmental restoration specialist Dave Eubanks will discuss requirements and ways to source and maintain the best native wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees.

Native perennials attract birds, butterflies and pollinators and have root systems that help rebuild soil and filter water.

The in-person presentation is from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., but also will be available via Zoom. Registration is required at www.fremontlibrary.org/event/5794703.
