College of DuPage multimedia services earn top honors at international Telly Awards

The College of DuPage Multimedia Services Department recently earned top honors at the 2021 Telly Award for its outstanding video production and storytelling.

Created in 1979, the Telly Awards honor exceptional branded content across local, regional, national and international platforms. More than 12,000 entries are received annually from a wide array of private and public organizations within all 50 states and five continents.


"I am truly honored to witness firsthand the strong commitment and exceptional work produced by our Multimedia Services team," said Wendy E. Parks, vice president of PR, Marketing and Communications. "This talented team of professionals dutifully shares impactful and meaningful stories through the diversified voices of our faculty, staff and students."

Multimedia Services earned the highest honors - Silver Telly awards - in the following categories:

Live Events, "Frida Gala 2021 Live," produced by Jim Nocera and edited by Paul Thompson; "Virtual Pitch Contest LIVE," produced by Sal Garcia and Chris Gekas; and "COD's Got Talent LIVE," produced by Garcia and Elmir Husetovic; History, "The Underground Railroad in DuPage County: A Path to Freedom," produced by Ed Kuhs and edited by Matt Riewer; Educational Institution, "53rd Annual Commencement Ceremony College of DuPage," produced by Nocera, and edited by Kevin Willman and Garcia; "Top 5 Things Students Should Do Before Transferring," written, produced and directed by Kuhs.

"On behalf of our entire department, I am grateful for this recognition by the international Telly Awards," said Multimedia Services Manager Jim Nocera. "We wholeheartedly believe in what we do and thank the entire college-wide community for its ongoing support."
