A young Cole Magnus who is all of 3-years-old has a rare disease called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The poor kid cannot go out and play due to this nasty health issue, yet a ray of hope came to his aid as his mom (Brittany Magnus) asked a local radio station if "some folks could send Cole a birthday card."
Untold strangers responded by sending Cole "B day" cards, some with gifts. Cole's illness is challenging, yet he keeps hoping, smiling and opening those cards. So far, numerous cards have come from places far from his home, like the United States, England, Canada and abroad.
His illness is a metaphor for those inflicted with such horrible pain, yet some hope is kindness and goodness from well-wishers.
