Celebrate the miracle of Christmas with St. Catherine of Siena parish

The faithful are welcome to the preparation and celebration of the miracle of the Christ child's birth at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee and St. Mary in Gilberts.

"Let us strengthen our families, parish and community by gathering together this Christmas by centering on Christ with the peace and tranquility of Holy Mass," said the Rev. John McNamara, pastor, St. Catherine of Siena Church and St. Mary, Gilberts.

A communal penance service will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21.

For the Vigil of Christmas, St. Catherine of Siena Church will celebrate Christmas Eve Mass at 4 and 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, with a Midnight Mass (with incense).

Christmas Day Mass on Saturday, Dec. 25 will be at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.; and 11:30 a.m. Mass (with incense).

St. Mary Church in Gilberts will celebrate Christmas Day Mass at 9 a.m. (with incense) on Saturday, Dec. 25.

There will be a music prelude 15 minutes before the start of each Mass.

On Sunday, Dec. 24, celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.; and 11:30 a.m. Mass (with incense) at St. Catherine of Siena Church.

St. Mary, Gilberts will hold an 9 a.m. Mass.

St. Catherine of Siena Church is located at 845 W. Main St. in West Dundee.

St. Mary is located at Matteson Street and Galligan Road in Gilberts.
