More catalytic converter thefts in Des Plaines

Thefts of catalytic converters from cars parked in Des Plaines continue to be a problem.

Two more such thefts were reported this week.


One was on the 900 block of South Lee Street and the other on the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue. The first occurred between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, while the second occurred sometime after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

No other details were available.
