Lake Villa library hosts 9/11 exhibition

Lake Villa District Library will host "September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World," an educational exhibition from the September 11 Memorial & Museum.

The 14-panel poster display includes personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks, as well as archival photographs and images of artifacts from the museum's permanent collection.

The exhibit presents the history of 9/11, its origins, ongoing implications and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of the attacks. Self-guided tours of the exhibit are available during the library's normal business hours through September, along with family-friendly activities that address themes of courage, compassion, resilience, and hope.

South Tower survivor Tom Jones will share his story at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15. Visit www.lvdl.org to register.
