Drowning victim identified as Park City teen

Authorities have identified a 16-year-old Park City boy who drowned Sunday evening off Waukegan Municipal Beach.

Jesus Garcia had been pulled from the water but was unconscious and not breathing when the Waukegan police and fire departments responded to the reported drowning about 6:25 p.m.

Garcia was taken to Vista Medical Center East, where he was pronounced dead, according to a news release from the Lake County coroner's office.
