United Way of Lake County is holding its annual School Supply Drive now through July 15.

Community members are invited to join in by providing local students from low-income families with the supplies they need to start school ready to succeed.

This year, in addition to online donations, the School Supply Drive includes a drive-through event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, at The People's Choice Family Fun Center, 2650 Belvidere Road, Waukegan.

Donors may purchase new supplies from a wish list, including spiral notebooks, rulers, pink erasers, folders with pockets, boxes of 24 crayons, boxes of 12 colored pencils, boxes of 10 markers, packs of loose-leaf notebook paper, large glue sticks, scissors, pencil pouches or cases, yellow highlighters, packs of 10 pencils, and facial tissues.

Donations may be dropped off curbside at People's Choice. Enter on Belvidere Road and follow the signs to the drop-off location. Donors will be asked to open their trunk and stay in the car while volunteers unload supplies from the vehicle.
