Deadline to apply for Elmhurst Ward 5 Aldermanic seat extended to June 30

With the advice and consent of the Elmhurst City Council, Mayor Scott M. Levin will appoint a replacement to the 5th Ward aldermanic seat that became vacant on May 3, when he took office as mayor.

The application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, June 30, in order to ensure residents are adequately notified and have time to submit an application.

This person will serve out the remaining 2 years of the term, until May 2023.

For this particular vacancy, Levin believes that soliciting applications is a good way to gauge interest and identify candidates from the Fifth Ward at-large.

To be considered for this appointment, please complete an official application. Resumes and/or letters of intent are also encouraged to be included with the application.

Applications can be found at bit.ly/elmhurstward5.

Completed applications can be emailed to Amanda.Melone@Elmhurst.org or mailed to the City Clerk's Office at 209 N. York St.

Please contact the Deputy City Clerk with any questions at (630) 530-3010 or email Amanda.Melone@Elmhurst.org.
