District 207 won't boost student fees

Student fees in Maine Township High School District 207 will not increase for the 2021-22 term, and a parking pass fee will be eliminated, officials announced Wednesday.

The District 207 board decided to hold the line on student fees and toss the $115 parking fee because many families are experiencing financial strain, Superintendent Ken Wallace said in a news release.

The base fee for students attending any of the District 207 schools in Park Ridge or Des Plaines will remain $370. It covers various educational resources and the Chromebooks issued to every student. Some programs require additional fees.
