Waukegan Park District offers various activities during winter break

The Waukegan Park District will be offering Holiday Adventures at the Belvidere Recreation Center during the upcoming winter break.

Open to students ages 6 to 12, Holiday Adventures will feature safe enrichment activities, crafts, games, and more.

Holiday Adventures will be offered on the following winter break days from 7 a.m.to 6 p.m.:

• Space Station, Tuesday, Dec. 29

• New Year's Eve Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 30

• Awesome Arts, Monday, Jan. 4

• Edible Creations, Tuesday, Jan. 5

• STEAM Team! Wednesday, Jan. 6

To ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff, protocols will be enforced to comply with all guidelines issued by the state of Illinois. Face coverings and social distancing are required for all participants. Activities are subject to change to comply with mitigations. Participants must bring a lunch every day.

More details, including planned activities, fees, and registration links, are available at waukeganparks.org/adventures. Registration is now open online or at the Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center.
