The Venue's 'Album Cover Tribute Series to raise funds on Giving Tuesday Dec. 1

Join The Venue for a special Giving Tuesday livestream at 7 p.m. Dec. 1.

Giving Tuesday is a world wide day of giving benefiting nonprofit organizations.

Now more than ever, The Venue needs your help to continue its mission and bring live music to the Fox Valley.

The annual Giving Tuesday fundraiser will culminate with a special livestream edition of the "Album Cover Tribute Series."

Funds raised from Giving Tuesday and "The Doors: Strange Days" livestream concert will help to sustain The Venue during the temporary closure due to COVID-19 and allow it to reopen when it is safe to do so.

The concert will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/TheVenueAurora/.

Contributions for Giving Tuesday may be made by clicking on the link below or the link that is included in the Facebook livestream. Please consider a donation of any size to help The Venue help musicians. Donations for Giving Tuesday to benefit The Venue and the Fox Valley Music Foundation will be accepted from noon Sunday, Nov. 29 to noon Dec. 6.

The ensemble group assembled by Scott Tipping includes Chad Watson on guitar, Brother John on keyboard and Jon Reed (from 40,000 Headmen) on drums.

This show will cover all of the tracks including hits "Love Me Two Times" and "People Are Strange." The show will be rounded out by other psychedelic Doors favorites. The highly acclaimed album is on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time."
