District 64 extends remote learning into January
Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 will continue all-remote learning through Jan. 18 because of rising COVID-19 cases in the region, officials announced this week. Additionally, students in special education programs attending in-person classes will transition to remote learning until Jan. 18. Concerns about holiday travel quarantines were an issue, too, Superintendent Eric Olson said. The schools may switch to a hybrid model Jan. 19. District 64 mandated a remote learning program for students this week. It initially was scheduled to last until Nov. 30.
