Homeowner is challenged with small living room

Every living room space can be inviting regardless of its size. The key is to find furniture that can be customized to fit the space.
In this particular room, we like the way the homeowner has their furniture arranged, creative a conversational seating area despite the small room size. The rooms is off to a good start with the neutral wall color, so we are going to stick with that same furniture floor plan. However, to help bring this room into the year 2020, we would add updated contemporary furniture in a pale, neutral color to help brighten up the space and make it appear larger.
First we want to use the main wall to anchor the space with one of our favorite love seats from Smith Brothers of Berne. This is a 55-inch love seat that is made in the U.S.A. and is available in more than 1,200 fabric options. We like the structural look of this piece with its nailhead finishing touches.
For this space, we suggest the Rizzoli Linen fabric for the love seat and the coordinating Some Grey fabric for the pillows.
For the seating area in front of the window, we want to create an inviting and comfortable space with two different style chairs to add options for the family. The first chair is a stationary chair we would place in the corner of the room. The 35-inch-wide stationary chair from Smith Brothers of Berne offers a structured look but with comfort. We also suggest this chair be covered in a lighter shade of gray fabric that comes with a slight pattern to add more texture to the space.
The second chair would replace the current recliner with a more modern option. The Smith Brothers 36-inch power recliner is a chair that can offer an ideal spot to lounge and relax but with a sleek, modern style. We are customizing this chair in a darker shade of gray leather that offers a hint of light veining - plus its nailhead finish pairs perfect with the love seat. This is a chair everyone will love!
To finish this space, we suggest replacing the existing coffee table and side tables with the Laurie Occasional table set. The Round Oak cocktail table and end table will soften the room with its round design, yet not overwhelm the space. These tables are made with all natural solid wood that comes in a number of stains and finishes. For this space, we suggest the Rich Tobacco finish.
This design offers this family some different seating options while updating the overall look and feel of their living room.
