Democrat Ness ousts Republican incumbent Skillicorn in House 66th District

Crystal Lake Democrat Suzanne Ness ousted incumbent Republican state Rep. Allen Skillicorn, of East Dundee, Tuesday in the 66th District.
Skillicorn had a narrow lead early on, but by late Tuesday his margin eroded. Ness secured 28,483 votes to Skillicorn's 26,668 votes, unofficial results show.
The district includes parts of Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills, Algonquin, Sleepy Hollow, Carpentersville, West Dundee, Huntley and Elgin.
