Antioch home lauded by Chicago's Finest Painted Ladies Competition
The Chicago Paint and Coatings Association has announced that the Antioch home of Paul and Tina Lowry is being honored as part of the 34th annual "Chicago Finest Painted Ladies and Her Court Competition," a "beauty contest" for homes and businesses.
The contest encouraged homeowners and professional painters to compete for the 2020 "Chicago's Finest Painted Ladies and Her Court" award. The houses must have been painted between Labor Day 2019 and Labor Day 2020.
"The COVID-19 pandemic offered unprecedented challenges to homeowners and painting contractors alike during 2020. As a result, many potential entrants postponed the painting of their homes. But the work on the Antioch home deserves special recognition, so we will be honoring them this year and grandfathering them to be formally recognized during the 2021 competition," Chicago Paint & Coatings Association's spokesperson Bill Heiden said.
The CPCA is a nonprofit trade association made up of member companies that are manufacturers, raw material suppliers and distributors for the paint and coatings industry.
