2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk

The Waukegan Park District invites the public to participate in the 2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk.

In its fifth year, the race will be a unique experience in 2020. Participants will compete with others by completing a 5K (3.1 mile) race on their own and at their own pace. Individual results must be submitted to Shelby at smcdonald@waukeganparks.org by 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, to be included in the final results.

Registration is required and is now open. Individuals can register in person at the front desk of the Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center or online at waukeganparks.org/5k.

The fee to compete is $10 per participant. Participants will receive a traditional race packet and a commemorative race T-shirt that can be picked up at the Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center starting Monday, Sept. 7.

All proceeds from the 2020 George Bridges Virtual 5K Run/Walk will benefit the Special Recreation Services of Northern Lake County -- Waukegan, helping individuals with disabilities participate in camps, athletics, health and fitness programs, and more.
