Some Lake County homeowners to receive assessment notices this week

Assessment notices will be mailed to property owners in Wauconda, Newport and West Deerfield townships in Lake County this week, officials announced.

Assessments are used to determine a property's tax bill.

The deadline to file an assessment appeal is Sept. 14th. Appeals must be filed using the county's online portal at lakecountyilpaefile.tylertech.com/lake_il_sf.
