Prospect Heights city hall, library reopening Monday

The city hall and library in Prospect Heights are reopening Monday, July 13. City hall lobby hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 8 N. Elmhurst Road. The phone number is (847) 398-6070.

Library hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

A library staff member will greet patrons at the front entrance ensuring that everyone is wearing a mask. Up to 50 people at a time will be allowed inside.

Visitors who are unable to wear a mask because of a preexisting medical condition or need special accommodations to access the library may contact the adult services department at (847) 259-3500 or asdept@phpl.info to make arrangements in advance.

All patrons over the age of two will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing. Plexiglass has been installed at all service desks.

Access to Youth Services will be restricted, but staff will be available to obtain any requested children's materials. Visitors are encouraged to use the self-checkout station.
