Downers Grove cops hunting for armed robber

Downers Grove police are hunting for an armed woman who held up a driver Friday afternoon at a bank ATM and then fled on foot.

Police said they responded at 1:15 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery at Chase Bank, 1200 Ogden Ave. Police said the victim was at the ATM when a woman wearing a surgical mask displayed a handgun and demanded money.

No one was injured.

The woman, whose race was unknown, was described as 25 to 35 years old and was wearing a blue hoodie sweatshirt along with the mask. Anyone with information should call police at (630) 434-5600.
