'Sweet Smell of Success'
In our pandemic livestreaming, we came across this engrossing 1957 film noir that casts Burt Lancaster as a powerful but unscrupulous newspaper columnist and Tony Curtis as a sleazy press agent whose principles are no better. An exaggerated and unrealistic hit job on the press? Definitely. But both actors are superb and the movie is riveting.
