Elk Grove Village rail crossing repairs
The railway crossing on Busse Road, south of Pratt Boulevard in Elk Grove Village, will be closed at 9 a.m. Monday, May 11, weather permitting, the Illinois Department of Transportation said.
The work is expected to be complete by 7 a.m. Sunday, May 24.
A detour will direct motorists to Devon Avenue, Elmhurst Road, Higgins Road (Route 72), and Landmeier Road.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to detour signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
