Self-interest rules

Getting Fair Maps, term limits or pension reform just isn't practical. The job of state representative is a part-time job. Which means they most likely have a private sector job which will eventually get them Social Security benefits and maybe another pension. In July 2019, Jake Griffin told us that the average annual pension received by General Assembly employees is $65,000. And, he reported on June 30, 2019, that some of them get pensions of $100,000 or more. Why would the people that we send to Springfield want to interfere with that? They don't. Would you want to guess who they represent?
