College of DuPage and DuPage County to launch community podcast 'Listen Up DuPage!'

DuPage County residents now have another opportunity to stay informed on a variety of topics that impact the greater community with "Listen Up, DuPage!," a new podcast produced by College of DuPage in partnership with the DuPage County Board.

Launched April 1, Official Census Day, the podcast is designed to keep community members informed on key local initiatives, community innovation and central issues shaping DuPage County.

The podcast's first episode focuses on how the census works and how residents' participation is critical to shaping the future of DuPage County.

The episode features College of DuPage President Dr. Brian Caputo, DuPage County Board Chairman Daniel Cronin and COD Student Life Coordinator Stephanie Quirk.

On each episode of "Listen Up, DuPage" host WDCB Radio Station Manager Dan Bindert will join influential community leaders to engage in meaningful conversations about the most rapidly involving county in the nation. Listen to an introduction ahead of the first episode release.

"This project is designed to enhance the exchange of ideas and information while building relationships across the communities the College serves on- and off-campus throughout DuPage County," said Dr. Brian Caputo. "This podcast is one of many unique ways that we can tell stories about the College community and beyond."

DuPage County Chairman Daniel Cronin said the partnership will help community members feel better informed about decisions that affect their everyday lives.

"We think the podcast is an exciting project," he said. "It provides a convenient and engaging platform, allowing us to connect with our residents and explore the ideas, programs and initiatives that influence the way we live and work in DuPage County.

This collaboration with the College of DuPage is incredibly valuable because it allows listeners to hear a number of unique perspectives as we explore different topics impacting our residents."

New episodes will be released each month. Listen and subscribe on Spotify or Apple podcasts.
