Concerns over the coronavirus have prompted Algonquin Area Public Library officials to close both the main facility on Harnish Drive and the Eastgate branch starting Friday evening.

The main library will be open for early voting from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and for Election Day voting from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a notice from the library district.

Materials can still be circulated at the drive-through window at the main library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Patrons who have sick, or who live with someone who is sick, are asked to have their loan period extended and not return materials.
