Tech firm expands operations in Arlington Heights

An Arlington Heights technology firm will cut the ribbon on its new manufacturing center on Friday, Feb. 21.

Optimal Design, which designs and develops products in virtual reality, smart city, 5G mobile products and wearable devices, is opening the manufacturing facility next to its innovation hub. The company has invited state and local dignitaries to its ribbon cutting, scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at 601 W. Campus Drive, Suite B3 on the village's north side.

The tech firm, established in 2003 by three college friends, is currently manufacturing devices for Team USA for the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
