CTA safety priorities

Today I'm mixing stories from the Chicago Tribune and Daily Herald concerning the corralling of the hapless coyote on the city's North Side and the dearth of police assigned to secure the CTA. It seems that the city has its priorities a bit skewed. While dozens of officers were chasing the "wild dog," riders on CTA trains were being pursued by two-legged dogs unrestrained. If only the city would direct the same full-time attention to public transit. The current public transit unit doesn't cut it. They need to be assigned to ride the trains, be visible, and to remove the scourge.
