Tickets available for Save-A-Pet's 33rd annual Tuxedos for Tails Dinner & Auction

Tickets are now available for Save-A-Pet's 33rd annual Tuxedos for Tails Gala event to be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at The Arboretum Club 401 W. Half Day Road, Buffalo Grove. The event supports the mission of Save-A-Pet, a nonprofit organization that rescues dogs and cats and operates a full-time adoption center in Grayslake.

For this year's theme Save-A-Pet presents, "Live from Hollywoof, The aCATemy Awards." The gala event features cocktails, including Save-A-Pet's signature Paw Punch and a new cocktail called Buttered Popcorn, appetizers, entrees including vegan options, and dessert.

Entertainment includes live and silent auctions, raffles, and a wine pull. One of the raffles is called "Paw-Parazzi Yacht Escape" and provides the winner with an afternoon or evening on a luxury yacht on Lake Michigan in the 2020 boating season. There will be many additional surprises throughout the evening.

Live and silent auction packages include a Chicago Bulls Skybox package, restaurant gift certificates, dog and cat themed baskets, high-end handbags, handcrafted quilts, custom artwork and more.

This marquee event commemorates 47 years of saving the lives of thousands of dogs and cats throughout the Chicago area, while raising critical funds for the agency's mission.

Single tickets are $125, tables of 10 are $1,000 and various sponsorships are available, all of which can be purchased via Save-A-Pet's website at www.saveapetil.org.

Proceeds from the Tuxedos for Tails gala will directly fund all animal-related expenses at Save-A-Pet, including but not limited to: rescue services, resident intake, medical/rehabilitative care, and facility maintenance. Tickets and sponsorships are tax deductible up to the value of the donation.

Save-A-Pet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has saved more than 64,000 animals, and expanded thousands of families with the love of an adopted pet. Relying solely on donor generosity, Save-A-Pet is one of the largest no-kill cat and dog rescues in Lake County, and costs more than $1,600,000 per year to operate.
