Ella's Friends to host book sale Oct. 3-6 at Hampshire library

Ella's Friends, the support group for the Ella Johnson Memorial Library in Hampshire, will hold a book sale Oct. 3-6 at the Hampshire Township building, 170 Mill St. in Hampshire.

On opening night Thursday, Oct. 3, there will be a $5 admission charge for adults from 4 to 8 p.m.

The sale will continue with free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, there will be a bag sale for $5 from noon until 3 p.m.

On sale will be books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, and audio books, most priced $1 or less. All children's books are 50 cents.

Funds raised by this sale will help to pay for items and activities not included in the library's regular budget.

This sale is sponsored by Heartland Bank through its branch at 819 Warner St. in Hampshire.

Ella's Friends is a 501(c)3 organization made up of dedicated local volunteers who help raise funds to support library services.

The Friends hold their regular meetings from 7 to 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the library, 109 S. State St. in Hampshire. Volunteer with this fun group and coordinate community-wide activities like Chocolate Festival, Pumpkin Decorating Contest, and book sales that generate income to support the library.
