Join Us! Mundelein Historical Commission to Commemorate Old Village Hall's 90th Anniversary

The Mundelein Historical Commission cordially invites residents to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the dedication of the old Village Hall on July 2 at 11 a.m. At the event, the plaques-one located at the front entrance of the original building and the other located inside the 1974 addition-will be removed and formally presented to the Historical Commission for preservation and public display. This event will mark the official closing of the old Village Hall, making way for future plans yet to be determined.

The program will include remarks from Mayor Steve Lentz, Trustee Robin Meier, and Shawn Killackey from the Historical Commission who will provide a brief overview of the building's history. Attendees will be invited to walk through the main floor of the building for a final time. Luke's will be on-site selling beverages and hot dogs and Old #1 will be on hand in the main parking lot for viewing.

Please join us as we prepare to bid farewell to a Mundelein landmark that has served the community for nearly 100 years.
