9 Indiana airports receive federal infrastructure grants

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration has announced nine Indiana airports will share more than $3 million in infrastructure grants.

The largest of the grants announced Monday was more than $1 million to Madison Municipal Airport to install perimeter fencing. Knox/Starke County Airport is getting $600,000 for a runway extension, and Goshen Municipal Airport will receive $540,000 to rehabilitate a runway and taxiway.

Other grants are going to airports in Auburn, Indianapolis, Muncie, Peru, Salem and Wabash.
