Income tax town-hall meeting set for Wednesday in Arlington Heights

Two Arlington Heights legislators will host a town-hall meeting Wednesday to discuss the proposed graduated state income tax.

State Rep. Mark Walker and state Sen. Ann Gillespie will welcome Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, to discuss the proposal from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 administration building, 1200 S. Dunton Ave.

Both Arlington Heights Democrats voted in favor of putting the graduated tax proposal on the November 2020 ballot. They say constituents on both sides of the issue are invited to attend the town hall.
