The Cubs' Jon Lester (1-0) vs. Jameson Taillon (0-1) Monday at 1:20 p.m.; Yu Darvish (0-1) vs. Jordan Lyles (0-0) Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.; Jose Quintana (0-1) vs. Joe Musgrove (1-0) Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

At a glance:

The Cubs were 10-9 against the Pirates last year, 5-5 at Wrigley Field. The Pirates have a couple of key players out of the lineup with injuries. Gregory Polanco (shoulder) began a rehab assignment Sunday. Corey Dickerson (shoulder) is on the injured list. He has been cleared to hit but not throw. Lester has tossed 2 of the Cubs' quality starts this season. He is 9-6 with a 3.18 ERA lifetime against the Pirates.
