Hanover Township awards mental health funding grants

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $890,000 in annual funding at its Jan. 22 meeting. Funds were awarded to agencies serving Hanover Township residents in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse intervention and prevention.

Board members allocated funding to 31 agencies that provide 45 programs.

The Ecker Center for Mental Health received $98,500.

Easter Seals of DuPage and Fox Valley Region received $62,000 to provide outpatient medical rehabilitation and an additional $15,000 for family support services. The board also awarded the agency with $11,000 in funding for nutrition services that allows children with developmental disabilities access to nutrition therapy evaluations, medical nutrition therapy, and a feeding clinic.

Community Crisis Center was awarded $73,000.
