Mundelein High concerts on tap Jan. 16-17

Mundelein High School will host a Winter Jazz Concert and an Eighth Grade All-Star Band Concert on Jan. 16 and 17, respectively. Both concerts are free and start at 7 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium, 1350 W. Hawley St. The Jan. 16 concert will feature the honors jazz ensemble and jazz orchestra and will include "Minuano" by Pat Metheny, "Oyo Como Va" by Tito Puente, "Cruisin' for a Bluesin'" by the Maynard Ferguson big band. The All-Star Concert will feature the honors wind ensemble, concert band and members from the eighth grades from Carl Sandburg, West Oak, Fremont elementary schools and Hawthorn Middle School North.
