District 220 still mulling referendum options

Barrington Area Unit District 220 board members are still weighing which parts of a master facilities plan should be placed on a potential referendum question on the April 2 ballot.

The possible building plans stem from Blueprint 220, an initiative meant to address how district schools should evolve over the next 20 years. Board members must approve a referendum question resolution by Jan. 14 to get on the April ballot.

As part of the Blueprint 220 process, a referendum advisory committee made recommendations for building projects to the school board. The board intends to continue discussing projects that might be pursued at its next meeting, Dec. 18.
