No one was injured in a commercial building fire in Palatine Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Crews were called to the 700 block of W. Colfax Street at 3:53 p.m. when someone smelled inside the building, according to a news release from the Palatine Fire Department. Firefighters found a fire and light smoke coming from a tenant space on the first floor; it was under control by 4:11 p.m., the release said.

The fire left one unit uninhabitable, and the cause is under investigation, the release said. No damage estimates were available Saturday night.
