Mussman seeking residents' ideas for state legislation

State Rep. Michelle Mussman is asking residents to submit their ideas for new laws and fixes to current legislation for the upcoming 2019 legislative session.

"The best ideas for legislation come from the ground up, not the top down," Mussman, a Democrat from Schaumburg, said in a news release. "Illinois succeeds when everyone is involved in the legislative process, not just a select few. When going door to door, I often hear from people who are looking to become more involved in their community, and this is one of those opportunities."

Residents can submit legislative ideas to her constituent service office for review and potential implementation. Residents whose ideas are introduced as legislation may have the opportunity to testify on them in a committee hearing.

Mussman can be reached by phone at (847) 923-9104, email at staterepmussman@gmail.com or on Facebook at Facebook.com/staterepmussman.

Mussman serves the 56th District, which includes portions of Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Roselle and Schaumburg.
