Three people were hurt in a traffic crash on Route 60/83 in Fremont Township, officials said Friday.

The crash occurred Thursday about 6 p.m. at Route 60/83 and Circle Drive South.

The driver turned in front of a northbound 2010 Land Rover SUV, driven by a 35-year-old Mundelein woman. The front of the Land Rover struck the driver's side of the Ford, authorities said.

The driver of the Ford was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center with critical injuries. A 7-year-old female passenger and a 6-year-old female passenger in the Land Rover were also transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
