Endorsement: Vealitzek for Lake County Board District 10
Republican incumbent Charles "Chuck" Bartels faces Democrat Jessica Vealitzek on Nov. 6. Bartels says he has experience working with government, creating jobs and wants to retain businesses. Vealitzek is committed to integrity in politics, communication and better transparency/disclosure. Ethics reform is an issue in light of recent misuse of county-issued credit cards. Vealitzek says reforms are needed while Bartels says not. Considering what the county has been going through, that's an important difference. Vealitzek is endorsed.
