Lincolnshire school celebrates diversity with special activities
Dozens of families gathered at Sprague School in Lincolnshire on Friday for its first Cultural Diversity Day.
Parents hosted games, led dances and played music from nations including India, Israel and China.
The activities coincided with classroom instruction about diversity. Those lessons will continue through the year at the school, which serves preschoolers through second-graders.
"Students will continue to share and reflect on their learning from Cultural Diversity Day through writing and speaking opportunities," Principal Ann Hofmeier said in a news release. "We are thankful to our dedicated staff and parents for providing this wonderful learning experience for all our students."
