Lori Price resigns from District 204 school board

Indian Prairie Unit District 204 board member Lori Price suddenly resigned Tuesday night.

"After much consideration, tonight's @ipsd204 school board meeting was my last," she wrote in a tweet. Increased work responsibilities prevent me from participating like I'd like to. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve this district for nearly 8 years."

The Naperville Sun reported that she announced her resignation similarly at the Tuesday night board meeting.

Price is the senior buyer at Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville. She won election to the school board in 2011 and was its president from 2013 to 2017. She was president of the special needs PTA before joining the school board.
