Former trustee to lead Buffalo Grove Days parade

It's time once again to get excited about Buffalo Grove Days. The 57th edition of the festival runs from Aug. 29 through Sept. 3 at Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove.

The festival parade will begin at 11 a.m. Sept. 2 on Bernard Drive and Indian Hill Drive, then head east on Bernard to Raupp Boulevard. From there, it heads north and ends at Raupp Boulevard and St. Mary's Parkway. This year's Grand Marshal will be longtime village Trustee Steve Trilling, who retired from the village board last summer.

Among those you also might spot at the festival are the winners of the inaugural Buffalo Grove Community Pageant: Lucy Feiner, Little Miss Buffalo Grove; Rachel Anand, Junior Miss Buffalo Grove; Riley Heydenberg, Teen Miss Buffalo Grove; and Rachel Becker, Miss Buffalo Grove.
