SUV rammed into suburban Chicago store in luxury goods heist

OAK BROOK, Ill. (AP) - Police say thieves drove an SUV into the front of a Louis Vuitton (lew-EE' vit-AHN') store in a suburban Chicago shopping center and made off with more than $50,000 in merchandise from the luxury luggage and fashion retailer.

The Oak Brook Police Department says store surveillance video shows three thieves wearing masks and gloves as they grabbed handbags and luggage. The thieves entered after the SUV rammed into the storefront in the western Chicago suburb about 3:20 a.m. Tuesday.

No arrests were immediately made in the heist.
