New model grand opens at Parkside of Libertyville

This weekend, K. Hovnanian Homes is celebrating the grand opening of a new decorated model of the Ontario plan at its luxury townhouse community, Parkside of Libertyville.

The Ontario - an end location that boasts 2,110 square feet of living space, two bedrooms and 2½ baths - is one of four home designs offered at the new-home neighborhood. Designed by local architect Rick Swanson, Parkside's townhouses offer row-house-style architecture with an urban flair. Homes have 2,110 to 2,550 square feet of living space, two or three bedrooms, 2½ baths, and attached two-car garages. Base prices range from $454,995 to $534,995.

In addition to the new Ontario model, a staged Erie and Huron home are available for visitors to tour at Parkside. And for those who would like to move quickly, three quick-move-in homes are available and ready for immediate delivery. They are value-priced from $389,995 to $449,995 and feature many of today's most sought-after interior appointments, such as hardwood flooring and designer kitchens finished with quartz countertops and cabinets with crown molding.

Andy Konovodoff, president of K. Hovnanian Developments of Illinois Inc., said Parkside of Libertyville allows homeowners to live an urban lifestyle with all the suburban conveniences.

"Residents here never have to worry about shoveling snow," he said. "They can get into their vehicle from the warmth of their attached two-car garage, drive to the Metra station a mile away or to the Edens Expressway, and be on their way. It's an ideal community for commuters."

The maintenance-free lifestyle at Parkside of Libertyville also means homeowners don't have to worry about lawn care, yard work or exterior upkeep, so their weekends and free time can be spent doing things they enjoy.

One of those things may be experiencing Libertyville's vibrant downtown. One of the best in Lake County, the historic downtown district has more than 30 restaurants including a microbrewery, boutiques and antique shops, and its own theater. In addition, it is home to a weekly farmers market in the summer and a variety of festivals and community events.

At home, Parkside offers comfortable everyday living with open floor plans and luxury appointments, such as hardwood flooring in select rooms, oak stair railings, elegant baseboards and window casings and bay windows per plan. Each townhouse includes a covered patio and balcony for outdoor living.

In the kitchen, a center island increases work space and a pantry provides plenty of storage while granite or quartz countertops, 42-inch birch cabinets, stainless steel Wolf, Asko and Best appliances, and decorative pendant lighting add elegant finishing touches.

Each owner's suite has a walk-in closet and private bath with dual bowl vanity and separate shower.

Several options are available at Parkside so new homeowners can personalize their space. Buyers can add a Hov Hub - a computer nook that's the perfect place to plug in and look up a recipe for dinner or pay bills. Fireplaces also are optional as are built-ins in select designs. Home offices and additional bedrooms and baths on the first floor are optional, too.

Only 48 three-story townhouses will be built at Parkside of Libertyville, so inventory is limited. To view K. Hovnanian homes at Parkside of Libertyville, visit the community's sales center at 611 Parkside Court. The property is on the south side of Winchester Road, just west of Milwaukee Avenue.

The new decorated Ontario model is open to tour from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Visitors also can walk through the Erie and Huron plans, as well.
